Living in Los Gigantes

The cliffs of Los Gigantes drop straight into the Atlantic and give the place its name. From the marina, boats head out to the waters between Tenerife and La Gomera, where pilot whales and dolphins can be seen all year.

Los Gigantes and neighbouring Puerto de Santiago are built on a slope, so many apartments have a sea view and many streets are steep. The black sand beach of La Arena is a short walk away. The pace is quieter than in the south, with a mix of holiday homes and permanent residents.
